Hot off the bottling line - the return of Springbank Local Barley. 9000 bottles at 54.3% ABV are being released over the next few weeks, all distilled from barley grown at Low Machrimore Farm in Southend, a few miles outside of Campbeltown. The whisky was distilled in 1999, making it 16 years old, so it has been some time in the making and maturation. Some people have tried a sneak preview of this over the last few weeks and judging by their feedback this is a whisky not to be missed. Over the next few years we will release a series of different bottlings in the local barley series.
