      Neuer Cadenhead Shop in Berlin

      ...nach Prüfung meines Kalenders ist heute nicht erster April...
      Am Monatsende verlässt das Berliner Whisky Urgestein Klaus Pinkernell seinen Cadenhead's Shop in der Mainzer Straße in Berlin Friedrichshain. Er zieht etwa 200 m weiter in die Boxgagener Straße 36 und eröffnet dort "Pinkernells's Whisky Market". Eben bekomme ich Post von der Springbank Society, die schreibt das ein neuer Cadenhead Shop in Berlin eröffnet wird... in der Boxhagener Straße 33, geleitet von Stefan, einem (ehemaligen ?) Mitarbeiter von Klaus... sehr seltsam...

      Ich wünsche jedenfalls viel Erfolg...

      We write to you on behalf of our friends at Cadenhead’s, who have recently announced that a new Cadenhead shop is opening soon in Berlin. The information concerning this exciting development is below:
      W.M. Cadenhead’s is pleased announce that there is a new Cadenhead’s shop opening in Berlin, Germany.
      The shop is being opened by Stefan Bulian. Stefan’s whisky career began about 15 years ago in a pub with a large selection of whisky, including many Cadenhead’s products. Prior to undertaking this exciting new venture, he had been working with the previous Cadenhead shop, Cadenhead’s Whisky Market, for almost 8 years.
      The new shop is going to be situated a short walk away from where the old Cadenhead shop was and the address is as follows;

      Boxhagener Strasse 33
      10245 Berlin
      Germany

      We are sure you will all be looking forward to welcoming Stefan to our whisky family and visiting the new shop. We do not currently have a confirmed opening date but as soon as we do we shall provide you with that information along with the relevant contact details.

      And lastly, it is hoped that there will be a new shop in Austria in the future and W.M. Cadenhead’s is currently looking into some options. We will confirm any details with you when we have them.

      tja, ich habe gerade mal die (neue) Homepage von Pinkernells geöffnet, weil ich in Erinnerung hatte, dass er geschrieben hätte, er zieht auch um. Und siehe da, dort steht "Ab dem 01.02.2018 findet Ihr uns in der Boxhagener Str. 36 - weiterhin im schönen Friedrichshain, nur knapp 200m vom alten Standort entfernt."
      Damit haben wir also 2 Shops in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft. Na wer weiß, was da alles so gelaufen ist ..... ?( ?( ?(

      So wie das hier ( PR: Aus für Cadenhead in Berlin und Salzburg, Klaus Pinkernell übernimmt - WhiskyExperts ) geschrieben steht, wohl einige sehr unschöne Dinge.

      Ich gebe was ab: FT-Reste & Samples

      Moment, "unschön" mag vielleicht die Geschichte zwischen KP und Cadenhead's gewesen sein (ich habe zumindest kein Statement von Cadenhead's dazu gelesen), das muss aber nichts mit KP und Bulian zu tun haben. Vielleicht sind die Konditionen aus Campbeltown für letzteren OK, um einen Cadenhead's-Shop aufzumachen, aber nicht für die Pläne von Pinkernell. Ich finds erstmL super, denn Köln ist für mich als Mitglied eine schlechte Option und ich kam mit Berlin (insbesondere mit SB) prima klar.
      Aber schon witzig, dass gerade jetzt mit dem Kanzler und Pinkernell die Berliner Ladenszene auf einmal so verändert.

      Whisky investor Flippy McBottle, said:

      Ein Geschmäckle lese ich aus den "offizellen statemant" von Cadenhead heraus.
      Klaus hat dies ja jahrelang gemacht, aber ihn mit keinem Wort zu erwähnen , gar Dank auszusprechen.
      Da sind wir wieder beim Anfang meines obigen Satzes.
